1-)Identify the issues/problems for this family. What are the indicators that this is an issue? Make sure you differentiate fact from inference (what we know vs. what we think we know).
2-)Prioritize the issues/problems in the case. What issues can be resolved clinically and what issues require systemic intervention (such as gaps in agency service, eligibility requirements, etc…)
3-) Differentiate which person in the case study (The Sanchez Family) elicits the least amount of sympathy and/or empathy in you and why? “Sympathy and empathy are both acts of feeling, but with sympathy you feel for the person; you’re sorry for them or pity them, but you don’t specifically understand what they’re feeling.
