The Role of Feminisms in New Mexico History and labor movements

The interdisciplinary history of New Mexico, considering themes of race, culture, and gender as reflected in our
course work reflect historical formations, historical and contemporary research on cultural studies, feminism,
labor, gender, sexuality, social and political movements, citizenship, race, class, indigeneity, the U.S.-México
geopolitical border, thought, and violence. As a result of these critical and complex lived experiences you will
be asked to identify and choose two key concepts introduced in the academic material and presented in the
readings in your required texts and in the supplemental material provided in your weekly modules. The two key
concepts can be identified from the entirety of the course work and I ask that you please follow the instructions
below.

  1. Choose one key concept that was introduced in the readings this semester and introduce it here. a.
    Conceptual Framework- Please introduce and define the concept.
    b. Contextual Application- How is this concept introduced and applied in this research?
    Please cite examples utilized by the scholar in the work.
    c. Biographical/Academic Intersectionality- Introduce the scholar who introduced and
    developed this concept in their personal research. Please share their biographical
    information. What does their biographical information reveal about the
    researcher and their personal relationship to the key concept introduced? (This is your
    personal opinion which will allow you to critically engage your thought process.)
    d. Research Intervention- How did this scholar draw you in to think about this concept
    critically? What question or questions would you develop to further develop this concept?
    e. Bibliography- Cite the readings or writings that inform these questions Chicago Manual
    of Style.
