Research is everywhere. We use the results and knowledge of research on a daily basis. Most professions and disciplines use research, in some form or another, as the foundation of accepted beliefs and practices.
Locate an article or case in which a particular professional research tradition is described. You may look for your article/case in the social sciences, physical sciences, or humanities. The article should be an example of a particular research philosophy, and methodology, associated with a professional discipline.
Post your article to the seminar discussion thread with a summary discussion of how the article describes the particular research philosophy and methodology.
Read the contributions of your group members and conduct a discussion in which you compare and contrast professional and disciplinary research perspectives.
