You are the Manager of an Art Gallery in England. You would like to be able to predict attendance a week ahead, on a daily basis, in order to develop more accurate plans on arrangements. After some consideration, you decide that the best predictor of attendance might be how many people attended on the same day in the previous week. To investigate, you obtain the number of visitors (y) from the Gallery’s records on 14 days chosen randomly from 2017 and for each of these days; you also obtain the number of visitors on the same day in the previous week (x).
