Review the differences between technical and adaptive responses to work place dilemmas by reviewing the concepts from Table 7.2. Notice the different characteristics of the challenges offered to supervisors and teachers who are working on issues needing technical or innovative responses. After reading the chart, consider a time when you were acting as either a teacher or a supervisor and you were dealing with a work-based dilemma. Now share with us a time when one of the following responses was needed: technical work innovative or adaptive work or some of both responses were needed to address an issue or problem. Explain the dillema or challenge and what you or the supervisor needed to happen. Explain the differences in technical and adaptive responses and explain when each is the best choice for a work place dilemma.
