Circular Economy in Plastic packaging and its impacts

Background:
Plastic have become more important in many sectors of economy and daily life. It is used in almost everywhere like as building and construction materials, transportation, renewable energy, medical devices and packaging. Still globally, most of the plastic waste is landfilled. Only 9% waste is recycled is last 60-70 years. That’s why driving many policy initiatives to improve the circularity of these materials in economy to increase resource efficiency. Then circular economy is an alternative, more sustainable than the traditional linear economy.

Aims and Objectives:
The aim and objectives of this study is to highlight the importance of use, reuse and recycling of the plastics to make it more sustainable. Circular economy will be the best solution than the traditional linear economy for the plastic waste management.

Research Methodology:
I will collect the data from the university library and other authentic sources and print media. I also go for the literature reviews about this topic. The collection of data and sampling will be done on qualitative and quantitative based research methodology.

Project Deliverables and Schedule:
• Create an effective after-use plastics economy by improving the economics and uptake of recycling, reuse and controlled biodegradation for targeted applications. This is the cornerstone of the New Plastics Economy and its first priority.
• Drastically reduce leakage of plastics into natural systems (in particular the ocean) and other negative externalities.
