Three of the core classes in the Communication Studies major are grounded in principles of “communication theory”. So, apply any of the communication theory principles to your internship experience. In your paper, make sure you clearly define those principles, concepts, or theories, and then use examples from your internship experience to illustrate how those principles, concepts, or theories were evident in the workplace. End with an evaluation of the usefulness of communication theory concepts in the workplace.

Internship Description:
Xerox’s Network printer technicians diagnose printer and computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, install software and perform tests on different printer equipment and programs. Technicians may also set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance and teach clients to use programs. Other job duties can include minor repairs and printer parts ordering. Technicians may also need good communication skills because this position requires frequent interaction with clients.
