There are four different types of murder as explained in our video for this week. They include 1st degree, 2nd degree, voluntary and involuntary manslaughter.
First, brief explain/define each of the four and give a factual example for each one.
Second, look up some current news stories and find one news story for at least 2 of the levels. For instance, find a news story about someone charged with 1st degree murder, then find a news story about someone charged with involuntary manslaughter. Tell us what facts in each case satisfy the definition of 1st degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. Compare and contrast the two cases.
