Ethical theory summaries

Students are expected to spend approximately 20 hours developing their summaries.
Marking criteria:
Students will be given a mark out of 25 based on the following criteria:
Summary of utilitarian ethics (4/25) – The extent to which you have clearly explained utilitarian ethics, including both the basic elements of the theory and more sophisticated elements; the extent to which you have consulted a variety of sources.
Summary of Kantian ethics (4/25) – The extent to which you have clearly explained Kantian ethics, including both the basic elements of the theory and more sophisticated elements; the extent to which you have consulted a variety of sources.
Summary of virtue ethics (4/25) – The extent to which you have clearly explained virtue ethics, including both the basic elements of the theory and more sophisticated elements; the extent to which you have consulted a variety of sources.
Comparison of the theories (10/25) – The extent to which you have clearly presented a table which contrasts the main elements of the three theories, including the more sophisticated elements and variety of sources referred to in the summaries.
Style (3/25) – The extent to which the assignment is visually appealing and free from bibliographical, grammatical and typographical errors

Deliverables
-Summaries of the three theories should be in pictorial form (e.g. a one page mind map each theory).
-The table for Comparison of the theories should be in written form and include referencing in Harvard style.
Preparation instructions
Your assignment should be a maximum of six (6) pages excluding the title page and bibliography. This will comprise 3 one-page mind maps for the summaries and a maximum of three pages for the comparison table.
This Assessment Task relates to the following Learning Outcomes:
• Critical engagement with the major ethical theories that inform the literature.
• An ability to analyse and critically evaluate moral theories and arguments.
• An ability to relate ethical theories to relevant case studies and current events.
• The ability to undertake qualitative research, including analysing previous literature and applying theoretical frameworks to a real-world issue.
Things That you will need to have so you can do this Assignment in a good way:
1- I will upload to you my friend’s explanation of three theories (utilitarian ethics , Kantian ethics and virtue ethics ).this may help you to draw the mind map for each theory and also may help you when you do the table for Comparison of the three theories .however.. my friend’s paper maybe not be perfect so;
2- I will upload to you the book chapters that’s talk about these theories so you have better understanding and also some useful references bellow
3- at then end of this page you will find 2 example of how to draw the mind map for each theory. But make sure its better than that because its not good enough
