negatively portraying and stereotyping Asians and Asian Americans. In their representations of
Asians and Asian Americans, the films Crazy Rich Asians and Better Luck Tomorrow challenge many
of these stereotypes. In what ways do the representations in each of these films challenge these
stereotypes of Asians and Asian Americans? Which stereotypes do they challenge and how do they
challenge them?
Prompt #2

stories that are told. How does each film represent and engage with issues of Asian American
