Hydraulics program using the wellbore configuration

Design a hydraulics program using the wellbore configuration from design project one in your proposed area of study.
Use mud pump manufacturers’ catalogs (such as Continental-Emsco and Gardner Denver, Inc.) to select your pump. Some catalogs are available at web pages of major mud pump manufacturers.
Use ‘‘Steady-state Hydraulics’’ option of Drillbench software from Schlumberger to conduct pressure drop calculations in your wellbore using at least two different flow rates at each 2,500 ft interval. Use Bingham Plastic non-Newtonian rheological model for all runs.
Determine the nozzle sizes and operating conditions (pump flow rate and pressure) for each 2,500-ft interval (i.e. 0-2,500, 2,501-5,000 ft, 5,001-7,500 ft, etc). Use maximum bit jet impact force criteria and show results in a tabulated format. Use the program to optimize hydraulics of the wellbore based on maximum bit jet impact force.
Submit your report (in Word format), program file (with *.dml format), program outputs (charts, screen captures, etc), and any applicable attachments. Use proper name convention given in syllabus for files and also for submitted names for eCampus link.

Grading will be based on the following parts and contents of the report:
Contents:
• Proper language and grammar (15 points)
• Cover page and file name (5 points)
• Abstract (5 points)
• Problem statement (5 points)
• Input data (15 points)
o Selected hardware components
o Selected operating parameters
o Any assumptions
• Drillbench Runs and outputs (20 points)
• Summary of results (5 points)
o Tabulate results for each interval
• Conclusions (10 points)
• References (5 points)
• Attachments
o Details of runs (if not included earlier)
o Documents used in the preparation of report (5 points)
o Drillbench program file with *.dml extension (for the last section calculation with one flow rate) (10 points)
