Order Description
Your essay should include a short overview of the plot, the important characters, and a discussion of the historical themes that they embody. Then, evaluate the historic merits of the film, referencing at least 2 secondary source readings. Analyze the readings in the context of the film, and the film in the context of the readings. You may choose which historical themes to emphasize, but you must be able to connect the themes to specifics in the primary or secondary readings at your disposal. Possible themes will be discussed and explored in our discussion of the film.
