Making a decision instead of postponing the decision

1) Think of the last time you made an important decision. What was your decision process to arrive at the decision? What was the outcome? Was it a good one or bad one? 2) Is it preferable to most often make a decision instead of postponing the decision? How do you determine if no decision or indecision is acceptable or is it never acceptable? On what basis do you decide?
