New and traditional terrorism

Case study: Provisional IRA & ISIS Is terrorism changing and do we need to implement new Counter terrorism techniques? Many scholars argue that terrorism is changing. The typology suggests that traditional terrorism significantly changed in the 1990’s into what is now defined as ‘New Terrorism’. Consider the arguments for and against this typology and use the case studies to argue whether different counter terrorism measures are needed to combat new and traditional terrorism. -You will have to draw on the debate of whether the traditional vs new terrorism model is accurate and correct. -You will have to discuss arguments which support it and arguments that do not support it. -You must use your case studies to indicate whether the typology can be supported or rejected. You should then use the theories and case studies to explain whether you think counter terrorism techniques should be changed as well.
