    My current organization is a vertical structure. In this type of organizational structure, there are several layers between the top and bottom positions. The highest position is typically occupied by the CEO or president, who has ultimate authority over all operations. This person would be responsible for developing strategies and initiatives that will propel the organization forward. Below them would be executives, directors,
managers and supervisors (my immediate supervisor). My supervisor’s span-of-control includes various employees in our department who report directly to him/her on a daily basis while they work together to complete tasks assigned from higher levels within the company. The first recommendation I have for organizational change in terms of structure is to create more cross functional teams within departments as well as across departments. This type of team building allows individuals from different backgrounds and expertise to come together and collaborate on projects, which can lead to creative solutions that could benefit overall productivity and efficiency in the organization. Additionally, it fosters stronger relationships among employees which can promote better communication throughout all levels at the company which further improves performance results for everyone involved. The second recommendation I have is for increased innovation opportunities throughout lower level positions as well as upper management roles. A great way to achieve this goal is through an internal brainstorming system where ideas can be discussed openly amongst colleagues with no fear of reprisal or judgment if an idea turns out unsuccessful or unpopular with decision makers in leadership positions. By implementing this system into day-to-day operations, organizations will likely see drastic improvements in how much their own workers contribute towards making their business successful without having to depend so heavily on outside advice or resources which cost money instead of generating it themselves organically using their own personnel’s brainpower! Overall, these two suggestions could drastically improve any vertical structured organization’s ability to create meaningful value for its stakeholders whether those stakeholders consist of customers or shareholders alike due largely thanks too modernised approaches based around collaboration & creativity rather than archaic methods relying strictly upon traditional hierarchical structures alone like what existed before technological advances made such cultural shifts possible worldwide today!
