Step 1: Identify an Issue/Challenge

Reflect on your personal experiences as a nurse and as an advanced practice nursing student to think of one significant leadership issue or challenge in the healthcare setting.
Reflect upon how this issue/challenge could be improved by utilizing one of the leadership theories presented in this course.
Step 2: Select a Leadership Theory/Model or Framework

Select one theory/model or framework upon which to base your project. Choose one of the following theories:

Transformational Leadership Theory (Northouse, Chapter 8)
Servant Leadership Theory (Northouse, Chapter 10)
Leader-Member Exchange Theory (Northouse, Chapter 7)
Authentic Leadership Theory, (Northouse, Chapter 9)
Step 3: Reflect and Prepare Photos

Reflect upon how the issue/challenge you identified in Step 1 could be improved by utilizing your chosen theory.
Select three photos illustrating the issue/challenge and write reflections for each. A reflection is defined as one to three sentences explaining the meaning of the photo and its application to the challenge or solution.
Select three additional photos illustrating a potential solution as guided by the leadership theory you selected.
Important Reminders

Do not use faces of people in the photos; photos of hands, feet, people from the back can be used, but not faces where an individual can be identified.
Photos cannot be taken inside a clinical setting.
Photos may represent abstract concepts and should illustrate the reflection.
For the three photos illustrating the issue/challenge and the three photos illustrating a potential solution, photos should be taken by the student.
Do not use or copy photos from the Internet or other sources for the three photos illustrating the issue/challenge, or the three photos illustrating a potential solution.
Do not use clip art for the three photos illustrating the issue/challenge, or the three photos illustrating a potential solution.
You may choose to use photos that you have taken in the past.
