Project of assessing the alignment of the Department’s policy and procedure (P&P)

Scenario: As the Department’s Policy Analyst, you are tasked with the project of assessing the alignment of the Department’s policy and procedure (P&P) coverage with the criteria outlined in the U.S. GAO’s Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (also referred to as the Green Book) at the operational level (not within the conduct of audits). Before proceeding with this task, OQCT leadership requests the development of an executive summary of your proposed strategy for this assignment to share with the Department’s Senior Staff. Assignment: • Develop an executive summary of your proposed strategy for the project described in the scenario. • You will present the executive summary to the interview panel during your second interview. • Limit your project strategy to no more than 500 words and spend no more than 2 hours on this assignment. • The applicant should use the Green Book excerpts at the end of this file to complete the assignment. There is no expectation that the applicant reads the Green Book to complete this assignment.
