To do your poster on PowerPoint, I suggested that you make one slide for each of the 9 questions and use graphics, pictures, visual representations for each on the slide
Put any talking points or notes regarding each either in the speaker notes section of PP or in a separate Word Doc. (Please notice that the questions are meant to be answered in order.
THE critical factor is that you are “on the court” with your Relevant Parties. (That means actually talking to other human beings.
a) do the work to articulate who the Relevant Parties are – Question #3
(do notice that you can’t actually answer #s 4, 5, 6, 7 until you you answer #3)
b) take your list of Relevant parties and find at least one person for each that you can actually talk to in order to answer #4-7
In other words, actually ask each open ended questions to discover:
i) what are each of their interests & concerns re children leaving prisons as adults (#4),
ii) how would your created future (your project) provide opportunities to fulfill their concerns (#5)
iii) give them an opportunity to self-express – ask them, given their expertise/experience, what top things would they coach you to be wildly successful with you project (#6)
iv) what opportunities do they see to participate WITH you in fulfilling their concerns (#7)
You will be surprised and empowered by the answers you get from listening to the answers you get from the different Relevant Parties you talk to.
Questions #1 & 2 – will come from the work you have done earlier in class re your project. Check the notes on your previous assignments.
Questions #8 & 9 will be easy to answer from your experience because you will have actually been “on the court” with your project.
SHORTER VERSION
What you need to do is fill up a page with all of the images that represent your leadership project. For example you would definitely have things like a church, choir, musical notes and stuff like that. You could include words or pictures that signify hope, salvation etc…
For the presentation you have to show some of the steps you have taken. Who have you talked to? What did they say? What obstacles did you face? Then look at the Rubric to make sure you cover all the bases.
