Robert Browning and Lord Tennyson on Death

Compare and contrast the poetic perspectives and styles of two poets regarding a common theme (any poets from the Victorian period). In other words, analyze the similarities and differences between how the two poets view a particular subject (war, love, death, etc.) and how they write about it (meter, poetic devices, rhymes, tone, etc.).

For example, both Thomas Hardy and Lord Tennyson write about war. While there are similarities in how they choose to approach the subject (both focus on the men actually fighting the battles, for instance), there are sharp differences in how they portray war and the styles they use to create such portrayals (Hardy tends to be somber and critical while Tennyson can be seen to glorify the sacrifices of those involved, etc.).
