Role of a project team

Objectives:

1. To understand the creation, structure and impact of the WBS on a project.

Instructions:

1. Working as a small group of no more than four students, perform the following:
   a. Assume the role of a project team that is creating a WBS for the development of a new mobile student application that will allow augmented reality to guide a student anywhere on campus.
   b. Determine the tasks necessary to complete the project by writing them on a PostIt Note (one note per task).
   c. Use the notes to create a WBS on Excel for the project.
   d. Answer the following questions:
   i. Was your list complete? (You may modify your WBS as you make any discoveries of missing tasks)
   ii. How difficult was the identification process and the decomposition into smaller tasks?
   iii. Were some tasks at lower levels than others? Why?
