Spine-and-leaf architecture

Some of the advantages this design are improved redundancy, decreased latency, increased performance, improved scalability, increased security, and reduced expense. The spine-and-leaf switch architecture is especially adaptable to newer networking technologies, such as virtualization and hybrid cloud.
