Statistics Test

This test is based on using Linear Regression and Pearson’s r critical value.
• Identify (if appropriate) the response and explanatory variable for the study.

• Create and/or discuss the scatterplot, identifying: form, strength and direction, and outliers.

• Find r, rcv, and determine if any linear association found in the sample is statistically significant.

• Determine if the least squares regression model would give accurate predictions. Discuss in terms of: scatterplot, r, rcv, and range of x-values in

the data set

• If appropriate, find the least squares regression model (equation) for the given set of data.

• Identify/Compute and interpret the slope (b1) and intercept (b0) values.

• Use the regression line to make predictions.
