This is a historiographical essay about the Civil Rights Movement in America during the 1950s and 1960s.
Basically, I would like the writer to just discuss how the movement for Civil Rights and its events have been
interpreted and approached differently by historians over time. This entails citing at least 8 secondary sources,
though they do not have to be cited very extensively. The essay must include not just a summary of each
source cited, but an assessment of its strengths and weaknesses and a consideration of how each work
“moved the field” or contributed to the understanding of the Civil Rights Movement.
