: Develop a case study describing the therapeutic management of a patient with Schizophrenia Pharmacological management (1500 words) Present a comprehensive review of the pharmacological management for the patient presented in Part 1, including a detailed overview of the pharmacological management of their primary condition and at least one associated comorbidity.- Schizophrenia and Hypertension. Present the medicines (Clozapine) prescribed for the patient’s (primary) condition and undertake to: • Provide an overview of the mechanism of actions for the medicines, their pharmacological and pharmacokinetics, including their therapeutic effect in the management of the patient’s condition. • Explain why specific combinations of medications are effective. -> patient is also prescribed Lorazepam and Aripiprazole due to concerns about high dose of clozapine, therefore low dose clozapine (200mg) combined with Aripiprazole 10mg daily • Develop an overview of the recommended prescribing schedule for each of the prescribed medicines for the case study. • It is expected that you include the appropriate dosage and frequency (with consideration to age and gender), and a rationale for these adaptations -> in this case, 200mg Clozapine and 10mg Aripiprazole. The patient is concerned about weight gain and sedation • Include other clinical considerations such as life-style modifications. In building on the primary health condition (schizophrenia) in Part 1 identify a co-morbid condition (in this case, hypertension) Schizophrenia and hypertension Develop a comprehensive review of the pharmacological management of the secondary (co-morbidity). Identify and explain any interactions or modifications required for the patient’s pharmacological management of their co-morbidity.
