project: First part of your assignment for this project is to provide information for a vertical oil well with a minimum TVD of 10,000 ft. in a field of your choice.
Select a reservoir with sufficient data to carry out all future design tasks. The data needed may contain all or part of the geological information (such as depth,
thickness, formation type, extend of the reservoir, well logs), reservoir rock (such as porosity, permeability, and saturations) and fluid properties (such as oil and
gas density, viscosity, reservoir temperature, reservoir pressure, and solution gas-oil ratio), wellbore hardware components (such as open hole or cased hole, types
and number of casings used, and tubing sizes), well production (amount of oil, water, and gas produced) and deliverability tests (flow rate versus flowing pressure at
a steady state or multi point tests). The selected well will be used to design the downhole tubing, packer, and other needed surface and subsurface assembly.
After selecting an oil well, download and fill out the excel spreadsheet named “Info.xlsx” and upload it to the assignment page after renaming it using the name
convention given in syllabus.
Second part of your assignment for this project is to select a suitable production tubing with a packer completion for the well/site from part 1. Using the selected
components, determine the length changes and/or forces for the packer for a stimulation treatment conditions.
Prepare and submit your report on the class web page as Part 1 of assignment with the proper MS Word format including a cover page, abstract, problem statement,
approach, results, conclusions, references, and appendix (with details of calculations and other relevant information). The report should follow the guidelines given
in the course syllabus. If necessary attach copies of all documents used in the preparation of final report as Part 2 on eCampus assignment page and keep a copy for
your records and future assignments.
After selecting the completion components and operating conditions, download and fill out all red highlighted cells with your data in the excel spreadsheet named
