Adeofe and Schechtman

Both Schechtman and Adeofe seem to believe that there are decisive reasons not to identify persons with any combination of the mental and physical properties of human beings. According to each of these two philosophers, what defines a person as the particular person they are? In what way are their explanations similar? Do you think their explanations do a better job explaining personal identity than the other theories we’ve learned about? Why or why not?
