Advertising ID (IDFA) in iOS

Apple has made significant changes in how their Advertising ID (IDFA) in iOS can be used and, as
we discussed in class, Apple is also trying to limit the use of device fingerprinting. How does this
all relate to user privacy, including the CCPA, CCPR and the GDPR? What other approaches are
currently being worked on by the advertising industry to replace Apple’s restrictions on the use of
IDFA, and what do you expect to happen going forward?
