Research Paper - you are responsible for a 2 to 3 page research paper on one of the companies in your
group’s portfolio.  So what company are you going to research?  The paper should include a short paragraph
on what the company does (mission), how much profits it had the last quarter, how many shares are
outstanding, what the latest share price is, what the company is worth (share outstanding times latest share
price), how much debt the company has, what the company’s cost of capital is, What the latest news is about

why you think this company’s stock will go UP or will it go down?  I want you to think and give me an opinion –
this may make you look at the industry the company is in and if the industry is growing to consolidating.  If you
need a fourth page, you may use up to 4 pages.  This paper must be TYPED.  Be clear in your writing, but
make it YOUR writing – do not just cut and paste from websites.
The company I chose is Amazon. The instructor wants to know why he should invest in this company and why
would you recommend the company? The paper should have a chart from yahoo finance with analysis of why
you recommend investing in the company.
