  American Imperialism reading two short primary sources from the Age of American Imperialism. This period, where the United States actively sought to expand beyond its continental borders, presented an ideological challenge; how to reconcile American democracy with imperialist expansion. These two short primary sources present several arguments utilized to justify America's expansionistic policies.
