Imperialism. Students will be introduced to the concept of military imperialism and will explore the United States' practice of imperialism and the government's attempts to minimize awareness and the impact of its imperialistic activities. Students will also examine “domestic” and “corporate” imperialism and will develop ideas for writing that relate to personal or societal impact. Students will pick a particular aspect of military or corporate imperialism and will write a policy or information paper.
