Sindbad the Sailor is often assumed to be part of The Arabian Nights. In fact, most editions and translations of the Arabians Nights include Sindbad the Sailor as another story told by Scheherazade, complete with the nights/chapters structures and her standard introductions and conclusions. Some critics, however, argue that Sindbad is a completely different book that was added to the Nights only to capitalize on the Nights sales and popularity. In your own words, discuss whether you think Sindbad is part of The Arabian Nights or not.
