Consider which of the artists you have studied or are familiar with (you can also look through the textbook) who have made a HUGE contribution to art today. You probably should NOT choose a major, major artist like Picasso, van Gogh or Monet.* You should choose an artist that you do NOT think received enough credit for their contribution to art. You must support your opinion with examples. And, yes, it should be artists that have been shown in museums, exhibitions (not your uncle’s garage paintings, etc). Cite any sources that you use- such as “quote from a web site – insert here” (moma.org) or whatever. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE, carefully cite. If you paraphrase information from a site, write it in your own words and then at the end, add (paraphrased, Sayre 55). See me for questions and I will also discuss it.
