Assigning Correctional officers

  Should gender be a consideration in assigning Correctional officers? Discuss the problems that a female correctional officer would face when working in a facility for male inmates. What problems would a male officer face when working in a facility for female inmates? What advantages might there be to having COs of one gender working in a facility for inmates of the other gender? Do you think COs should be required to work in same-gender facilities?
