Consider Weber's distinction between authority and power. Which does he think is more effective and stable, and why? Who holds authority and power in your society (and in your life), and why do you think, using Weber's theory, they are able to maintain this position over you and others?
Many people believe that a society without power is not possible. Take the opposite position. If we were to assume that a society without power is possible, how might it work? Would it still need authority? If so, why? If not, why not?
