Becoming a Community Organizer

Write a 6 page paper describing the characteristics of a consensus organizer, identify those features that the student possesses and those that may need more work, and select an issue that the student would be involved with as a community organizer. Students will describe the issue and explain how they could play a role as a community organizer, including identifying the approach they would take (e.g. asset-building) and the necessary steps they may need to take to address the problem. Students will utilize APA 6th Ed. Format and citation conventions. Students will utilize a minimum of three scholarly articles.
