The Bible Text Tour guides you through several passages of scripture.
The Bible Text Tours require you to read selected portions of the Bible and the corresponding study notes in the ESV Study Bible and to respond to questions. While many of the study questions are objective, other questions invite your reflection on the text. The purpose of these assignments is to guide you through the storyline, content, and characters of the major sections of the biblical text. They will be graded for both accuracy and depth. You are encouraged to provide the fullest answer possible.
Students should consult ONLY course lectures, assigned readings in Telling God’s Story, the biblical passages themselves and the corresponding ESV Study Bible notes or articles unless specifically directed to do otherwise. All answers can be found in the designated sources. Students are to work individually and MAY
NOT use the internet (e.g. no “googling”) or any other sources besides those listed above to search for answers. Any students found using the internet or other illicit sources to complete their BTT assignment will be awarded a 0 grade for the submission.
Students should try to answer all questions on BTTs in their own words. There is no need to quote anything,
and in most cases, it is better if you do not. Nonetheless, if you do choose to use direct words from a source,
you must place the material in quotation marks, provide a parenthetical reference to the source, and include a
bibliography. Failure to do so constitutes plagiarism.
