Bioethical Principle Paper: Order Description Students will select an ethical issue to examine ( I HAVE CHOSEN TO DISCUSS THE ETHICAL ISSUE ABOUT MARIJUANA USAGE FOR CLINICALLY ILL PEOPLE) , and write a paper on the issue’s importance to nursing. The paper will examine the issue, including its dimensions, relevant ethical theories and principles, cultural dynamics, the position of the nursing profession on the issue, and the writer’s personal views. National, state, and/or healthcare organizations’ policies or stance surrounding this issue should be reviewed, as well as any recommendations or suggestions the student may have for modification. Examples and illustrations will be an important part of this paper as they are in any ethical discussion. Of note, a personal stance may be taken on this issue; however, this is not an “argument” paper. All sides should be reviewed and paper should be fact based rather than merely emotional or inflammatory.
