Number 1. Go to the Egyptian Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Select a work of art that you like. Describe and analyze this piece using the following guideline of investigation:
(a) Give the name and date of the piece; (b) Materials and tools used; (c) Describe in detail what you observe; and (d) Speculate on the purpose and the message this work of art attempts to convey. Note: (c) and (d) are the most elaborate paragraphs. This essay response must have a short introductory paragraph which
states the location of your field trip, purpose, and line of inquiry, et cetera. Each sub-heading (i.e., (a) Give the name and date of the piece) must be organized in a separate paragraph. Also, each paragraph must be organized properly by using complete sentences that are grammatically correct, while the appropriate conventions of paragraph development are observed. conclude the essay in a short paragraph.
