What were the rights and obligations that were specified on the Jews [note the term believers does not include the Jews] in this document? How do they differ from the status of believers? Given what we have read about Islamic law and statecraft, in you estimation/view, does the Constitution of Medina lay the foundations for an [early] Islamic society? What examples can you provide from the document of good governance (Islamic or otherwise), and/or potentially problematic governance?
