Write a 2–3 page evaluation of the quality improvement program that you have created. This should be the annual summary of the hypothetical data. Make sure your hypothetical data are credible.
Part 2:
As you may recall from Week 1, your Course Project was to prepare a total quality improvement program, with a focus on one high-risk area. Continuous quality improvement covers many areas. Throughout the course, you have learned about the attributes that constitute a quality improvement team and what questions this team attempts to answer. The assignments toward this project that you completed each week can now be assembled into a single instructional document.
Make necessary adjustments to your document so that each segment flows smoothly into the next. Evaluate your project using the criteria given below.
Are the indicators and their measurements appropriate to the high-risk area? Do the indicators capture the risk?
Are the fictional incidents realistic and plausible?
Is the filled chart consistent with the fictional incident?
Is the plan of correction feasible? Will it prevent the occurrence of the incident in future?
How do you know the plan worked? What measures will you use to identify effectiveness?
Include an introduction, conclusion and reference page to this assignment.
Sample Solution
Introduction: The purpose of this evaluation is to provide an overview of the quality improvement program that has been implemented in a given high-risk area. As part of this review, we will evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the indicators and measurements used to capture potential risks;
assess whether fictional incidents are realistic and plausible; determine if our plan of correction was feasible and effective at preventing future occurrences; examine how we can measure the success of our program, and more.
Evaluation:
As part of this evaluation, we identified several key aspects that need to be taken into consideration when assessing any quality improvement program. It is important to first consider whether or not the indicators being used are appropriate for capturing potential risks in our chosen high-risk area. After looking over the data gathered from our fiction incident analysis, it appears that all relevant information was collected correctly which leads us to believe that these indicators were indeed suitable for detecting risks within this particular domain. Furthermore, it is also important to examine whether or not these fictional incidents appear realistic and plausible - after carefully reviewing them here too there does seem to be some truth behind each one as they accurately reflect various common scenarios within this setting.
When attempting to prevent similar occurrences from happening again in the future, it is critical for us to create a plan of action that addresses both short-term and long-term considerations equally well. Our plan here seems quite comprehensive as it covers multiple facets such as staff training programs, regular audits & inspections, process checklist implementation etc., thus ensuring greater accountability on all involved parties while simultaneously providing helpful guidance at every step along the way. The only issue with measuring its success however lies in properly monitoring its implementation which can often prove difficult due financial constraints or lack thereof (in terms of resources). Thus a thorough assessment must be conducted periodically so as ensure maximum efficiency & effectiveness throughout this entire process .
Conclusion:
In conclusion then overall evaluation indicates that quality improvement project has been successful up until now due its thoughtful approach towards addressing risk factors within any given organization or sector via specific data points & indicators along with clearly defined plans & objectives meant help facilitate smoother operations down road while still keeping costs low enough remain viable option going forward even during times budget/resource shortage .
