Complete the free online assessment of your Myers-Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI) personality test (opens in new window) or another site of your choice.
Research has shown that many of the different personality types tend to have distinct preferences in their choice of careers. Social and behavioral theory is also
believed to influence one’s pursuit of a career in public health or service. Additionally, social and behavioral science principles and techniques for diverse
multicultural communities are needed to resolve public health problems.
Respond
Review the results of your MBTI and respond to the following questions in the context of a career choice in public health and any additional information that you think
is important for your academic and / or professional goals and interests. Consider the following questions in your response.
1. How does your thinking about health and personality relate to your future in public health or service?
2. What do you need to do in order to ensure that you make wise professional career choices?
3. How will you apply what you learned in this course to your professional future?
