“Choices are the hinges of destiny.” – Pythagoras

Take a moment now to apply the concepts you learned from the readings this week. Follow the instructions
below to submit your work.

“Choices are the hinges of destiny.” – Pythagoras

First, complete both of the following brief assessments. Be sure to record/save your results.
Decision Making in Business http://money.cnn.com/quizzes/2006/fortune/decisions/index.html
How Good is Your Decision Making? http://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTED_79.htm
The first assessment is designed to introduce common decision-making practices in business, as well as their
shortcomings. As Christians, we are called to be in the world, but not of it (John 15:19). Our worldview impacts
every part of our life, including school, family, friends, work, etc. – all of which are influenced by the decisions
that we make. The second (self) assessment hopefully helped you to understand some of your own personal
decision-making strengths, as well as areas for potential growth.
Now, prepare a 1-2 page paper summarizing what you learned about the importance of effective decisionmaking skills. How does your faith affect the decisions that you make and the process by which you make
them? In completing the assessments, what was most surprising, encouraging, etc.?
