  Define Student and Patient Safety-The discussion board will consist of two separate paragraphs: For the first paragraph,you will chose one of the following topics: Utilizing proper body mechanics, Hand washing, Infection control. Write a detailed paragraph on your topic and the importance of applying this in the clinical setting. For the second paragraph, you will list the appropriate steps you need to take to properly identify a patient at your clinical site. (EXAMPLES: Patients Name, Birthday, ID band on wrist, matching the ID band with the doctors orders, asking the patient verbally, also being able to identify the patient with a common name such as John Smith via their birthday, as their might be two John Smiths in the waiting area.)
