I have always had a passion for math and science, which started in elementary school and has only grown over the years. With my initial interest being sparked by the thrill of problem-solving, I was quickly drawn to the field of mathematics and science where I could explore and develop my ability to think critically. As I grew older, this passion expanded into increased dedication towards mastering these topics.
In middle school, I enrolled in more advanced courses such as Pre-Algebra and Earth Science while also joining various math competitions such as MathCounts National Competition Series. My involvement in these activities not only pushed me out of my comfort zone but also allowed me to deepen my understanding of all aspects related to mathematics and science, particularly when it came down to higher level algebraic equations or exploring ecological principles. This drive helped me excel academically through highschool; during which time I took multiple AP Science classes including Chemistry and Environmental Science along with an Honors Algebra course helping me further develop my problem solving skillset. Moreover, I devoted considerable amounts of time studying independently with textbooks from college prerequisites allowing me gain a deeper insight on complex topics such as electric fields or thermodynamics before taking part in various national level math competitions like AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Exam). These experiences have since helped shape my career goals surrounding medicine: realizing that there is no greater satisfaction than being able to apply one’s knowledge for a larger purpose beyond oneself. For example, using mathematical modeling techniques learned from ODE’s (Ordinary Differential Equations) can be used to characterize population growth trends within different demographics or use biostatistics learned via Statistics classes can help analyze clinical trial data efficiently leading up effective treatments for patients who need it most.. In addition, by understanding fundamental concepts like physiology involved in human anatomy gives better perspective while diagnosing patient conditions — all which requires strong foundation rooted in math & sciences. Finally, having some background knowledge regarding healthcare economics coupled with legal implications further ensures that medical practices remain ethical while providing best care possible under circumstances given every day at hospitals/clinics across country - a goal ultimately requiring interdisciplinary skillsets steeped heavily within mathematics & sciences foundations . Overall ,it's because of commitment towards mastering core principles behind mathematics & sciences that allows myself reach broader horizons within medical profession; developing capabilities necessary for successfully navigating complexities nowadays associated with healthcare industry - both now & future iterations thereof . Ultimately, this interest and dedication has allowed me to stay motivated with future aspirations aiming to become a successful healthcare practitioner while allowing me better contribute towards society in meaningful way.
