  Read the assigned American Family Physician article https://www.aafp.org/dam/brand/aafp/pubs/afp/issues/2016/0901/p369.pdf and go to the NIH website on complementary medicine https://nccih.nih.gov/ (both assigned for this week). Peruse the NIH site and choose one complementary or alternative health practice to further explore. This could be an herbal remedy, a health practice (such as meditation), or a therapy such as acupuncture. Write three paragraphs on the modality: what is it, what is the evidence, and why were you interested in this topic. Be prepared to share your findings with the class.
