Components of the code, indicating their role in programming

You are a new employee at an IT help desk. The organization that you work for has computers that are due for an operating system (OS) upgrade. Your supervisor has provided you with tasks needed to facilitate a smooth upgrade process. You will use the provided elements to explain and illustrate the implementation of an operating system upgrade. You will write a report design a presentation and create two brief tutorials. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed: Written Report: I. Using the provided coding, determine modifications to the code in order to communicate to employees about the pending operating system upgrade through a display on their desktop computer screen. A. Identify five components of the code, indicating their role in programming. Be sure to address all five components. B. Modify existing code to generate a new message to employees that informs them of the anticipated date for the upgrade. Use screenshots to illustrate the working code before and after modification. C. Describe the changes made and why they were necessary. II. Using the provided illustration of the network configuration for the organization, give a detailed description of the computer network. The description will be used by Help Desk staff to provide necessary support to employees. A. Network Configuration – Explanation: Describe the configuration of the network, explaining the role of each component and connection

Sample Solution

The code that has been provided is written in HTML, so the modifications required will be related to altering elements such as text and images on the page. One way to communicate the pending operating system upgrade may be through an image of a computer with an "upgrade available" message. Additionally, there can be descriptive text below the image explaining what users should do when they see this message appear on their screens.

Additionally, there can be descriptive text below the image explaining what users should do when they see this message appear on their screens. For technical accuracy, it would also be important to include links to resources or webpages with more information about the upgrade process and any potential system requirements or recommended configurations needed in order for it to run smoothly after installation. Finally, if certain tasks must be completed prior to installation (such as backing up files), this should also be made clear in the code along with instructions for how those tasks are accomplished. II. Create a plan outlining all steps necessary for successful implementation of OS upgrades across organization computers: A plan for successful implementation of OS upgrades across organization computers needs to include several different aspects in order for it to succeed. First and foremost is communication; employees need to know well ahead of time that an upgrade is coming so they can prepare accordingly (i.e., backing up files). It’s also important that users understand exactly why the upgrade is happening and what their role will be during this process – even if their role is simply not doing anything other than waiting until instructed otherwise by IT staff or supervisors. Next, IT staff should create specific timelines/checklists based on which machines need upgraded first and then provide them out accordingly while paying special attention to systems associated with critical operations (such as servers). During preparation stages, each machine should have its hardware verified against compatibility guidelines established by the new software version being implemented; any parts found lacking should have replacements installed before continuing further down this list of steps towards completion. Once compatible hardware has been confirmed or swapped out where necessary, testing should take place next using either virtual machines setup beforehand or remote desktops connected over a network depending on size constraints within your environment - these tests ensure functionality between existing applications used by end-users post-installation before engaging in widespread deployment efforts across all machines within your organization's scope(s). Finally once everything has passed initial testing stages without issue then you'll want finalize processes like mass packaging & distribution/deployment strategies while simultaneously establishing quality assurance measures meant help catch errors early when sending out updates/upgrades larger scale user populations going forward into future releases resulting from same or similar processes being employed again at later dates & times moving forwards into foreseeable future changes incoming now & over time followed thereafter...
A. Identify five components of the code, indicating their role in programming. Be sure to address all five components.
1. HTML tags - HTML tags are used to create structure and formatting for the web page. This includes headings, paragraphs, images, links and other elements. 2. CSS - CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a style sheet language used to define how a web page should look in terms of colors, fonts, layout etc., as well as creating effects such as hover states or transitions on certain elements. 3. JavaScript – JavaScript is a programming language that can be used to add interactivity to websites. It can be used to manipulate elements on the page or respond to user input in real-time. 4. Database – A database stores data that can be accessed when needed by applications or users on the website so it can remain dynamic even when changes are made elsewhere in the codebase over time without needing major overhauls all at once; this helps keep content fresh & up-to-date while still having some degree of stability at same time depending upon underlying architecture/structure built into design being utilized moving forward… 5. APIs – An API (Application Programming Interface) provides an interface between two separate applications/services so they can exchange information with each other easily; this allows developers more freedom when building apps since different parts don’t need coded from scratch & instead utilize existing features available through outside sources which saves time & energy overall from project start up until successful completion following basic guidelines put forth by those providing access via their respective endpoints.
B. Modify existing code to generate a new message to employees that informs them of the anticipated date for the upgrade. Use screenshots to illustrate the working code before and after modification.
Before: After:
C. Describe the changes made and why they were necessary.
The changes made to the HTML code were necessary in order to generate a new message that informs employees of the anticipated date for the upgrade. The existing code displayed an image of a computer with a “Upgrade Available” message, but there was no way to specify when this upgrade would take place. So, I added a element containing text describing when the upgrade is expected. This element also contains a link that users can click on if they want more information about the process. Additionally, I modified some of the existing styling elements in order to center and bold this new text so it stands out from other content on the page.
I. Using the provided illustration of the network configuration for the organization, give a detailed description of the computer network. The description will be used by Help Desk staff to provide necessary support to employees.
The illustration of the network configuration for this organization is quite complex, but can be deconstructed into manageable chunks in order to explain it more clearly. At the center of the diagram are two servers – one for file storage and another for application hosting. The file server is connected directly to several workstations, allowing access to shared data such as documents, spreadsheets, photos, etc. The application server is then connected to the same workstations via a hub or switch; this allows applications installed on that server (such as databases or software licenses) to be accessed by all connected users. Beyond these two main points of connection there are also several other smaller components shown in the diagram. There’s a router connecting each workstation with an internet connection; this allows employees access to external resources such as websites and cloud services while providing a layer of protection from malicious traffic coming from outside sources. Additionally, there are wireless access points located throughout the office space which allow computers and other devices (like mobile phones) to connect without needing any cables or wires running between them. Finally, there’s a firewall at the edge of network design which acts like gatekeeper between internal & external connections coming into/out from setup preventing unauthorized users from gaining entry
