Please answer at least 1 of the following, In 1852, Douglass wrote: “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July”. In this letter, he stated, “What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? I answer: a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelly to which he is the constant victim” (p. 6). Please explain what he meant by this and explain how this could still be relevant for the Black community today.
