Data Analysis for School Improvement

  Order Description     WRITE a 10-page position paper with a minimum of 7 sources.     1) What are the strengths and weaknesses of each type of the assessment and grading practice listed below: a. Performance Based Assessments   Discuss all of the the following questions and/or statements: 2)Organizing for Collaborative Work- Example: How do PLC's, Data Teams, Instructional Leadership Teams help schools organize 3)Inquiry into Data Sets- How do schools, teachers, etc. dig deeper into data 4)Acting on Data- Once data is analyzed what and how does it promote change 5)Integrating Data and the School Improvement Process- Example: how is the use of data a vital part to moving schools? Why do you look at multiple data points? What are their dangers if the focus is limited to one data point and that one piece of data is used to make school wide decisions? 6)Explain the purpose, state legal requirements, benefits, and data components for school improvement planning. Example: In your school or district explain what is included in your plan and why? In other words, if your school has identified attendance as an area to strengthen explain why? 7)Reflect on the process of how and why data can be used to drive classroom or school wide improvement. Example: Why school analysis should start with the examination of data? Here is your opportunity to make a deductive case for what data should be considered and how the results of your analysis promote the improvement process. In other words if your school or district is fixated on one data point...why are you not looking at attendance, transient students, etc. You can make the case here that all those data points effect the ONE data point that schools and districts fixate on.
