  In this assignment, you compare and contrast the three data reporting methods; UCR, NIBRS, and the NCVS. Then use your local neighborhood to analyze different victimization rates, as well as include an analysis of chronically victimized individuals and the relationship to shared responsibility. Instructions Review the following readings before you begin the assignment: Module 2 Exploration: Crime Statistics and Victim Roles Crime Victims Updates articles: The Latest Statistcal Reports About Victimization Trends: Victimization Rates Are Increasing – Or Are They Decreasing? The Latest FBI UCR Reports The Latest BJS NCVS Reports. Compare and contrast the three data reporting methods; UCR, NIBRS, and the NCVS. Research your cities violent and property crime statistics using the UCR and NIBRS. After reviewing your cities data, analyze why some victims may be chronically victimized and how the relationship of shared responsibility can play a part (facilitation, precipitation, and provocation).
