“Desiree’s Baby” or Trifles

  Identify a character from either “Desiree’s Baby” or Trifles and a nonfiction piece (Torres, Kobabe, or Cady Stanton) that we have read this week. For each character, address the following: Define success for that character. What limitations from society does that character perceive are being placed on him/her because of gender or LGBTQ+ identity? Does that character achieve success through hard work? Use paraphrased quotes to support your claims, and cite them in APA style using in-text and reference citations. See this week's Literary Analysis Tools Module for assistance and examples. You should have at least two paraphrased quotes in your response—one for each character.
